Greene County approves 3 contracts for water upgrades

Commissioners for Greene County recently awarded Black and Veatch Corporation contracts to develop Hilltop Wellfield, a project that will increase total daily water capacity by 4.3 million gallons. Additionally, Kinnison Excavating was awarded a contract to construct piping for the Grange Hall Booster Station and extend the water main at this location. Greene County also contracted with National Water Services to refurbish the Valley Springs Wellfield and the North Wellfield.

Collectively, these contracts are related to “ensuring the county has the transmission mains and the booster station capacity to pump water into areas that are currently buying water from Dayton,” writes the Dayton Daily News.
