Greene County Sanitary Engineering Department has completed a $49 million infrastructure upgrade, bringing softer water to the Beavercreek community. The newly installed reverse osmosis system reduces water hardness from 27 grams per gallon to just 8 grams by removing calcium and magnesium, write WHIO Channel 7 News.
Residents are already noticing the benefits, including softer skin, reduced scale buildup on fixtures, and the elimination of the need for personal water softeners. The system also increases water capacity from 9.5 to 12 million gallons per day, ensuring improved service for the growing community.
This investment enhances water quality and helps homeowners save on soap, appliance maintenance, and water softener costs.
