Lift Station Elimination Project

About The Project

Greene County Sanitary Engineering Department (GCSED) will eliminate two existing but outdated lift stations, at Planeview Drive and Murwood Court, in addition to a complete replacement of another existing outdated lift station at Vayview Drive. This project was necessitated by the 2019 Memorial Day tornado that caused severe damage in Greene County.

These collection system upgrades allow Greene County to better serve the existing surrounding areas as well as allow space for potential future growth by redirecting the local wastewater flows to the nearby Page Manor Lift Station, which will also receive various upgrades to better serve the area. The project includes approximately 8,500 linear feet of new gravity sewer extensions and incorporates two total crossings of Interstate 675.

Benefits

  • Adds more reliable and cost-effective wastewater collection services
